Another secret of having a blissful life is to be intentional. If you think, your life…
Positive intentions are like drawing a roadmap. They guide you on where you wish to go. Without a roadmap, you’ll just be driving around aimlessly with no specific destination in mind. A life with no direction is one that is topsy-turvy and shallow, to say the least.
If you want to grow and develop a life that is meaningful and fulfilling, you need this so-called roadmap to help you get to where you want to be.
As such, I would like to share with you these 10 positive intentions that can improve the quality of your life.
1. Be careful with your words
Words are not just words. They have the power to make or break a person. Kind and positive words can encourage a disheartened friend, uplift a grief-stricken colleague, and enlighten a confused soul. On the other hand, harsh and belittling words can crush and debilitate. Words have a big impact on our lives. This is why we should have positive intentions about everything that we say.
2. Seek happiness from within
If you’re not happy with yourself, what makes you think that another person can give you happiness? Sometimes, we become so dependent on another person for comfort, security, and happiness. We shouldn’t look to others to make us happy and fill our emptiness. If we truly want to improve the quality of our life, we must learn to be happy on our own.

3. Set boundaries in your relationships
All kinds of relationships need a set of healthy boundaries for them to grow. Asking permission, having some time apart, respecting differences in opinion, showing gratitude are just some examples. Boundaries packed with positive intentions greatly improve the quality of your life and your relationships with the people around you.
4. Make meditation a part of your life
Whenever I go to my own space, close my eyes, and begin to meditate, I slowly feel a sense of calm, peace, and balance. Meditation’s positive impact on our physical, emotional, and mental health improves the quality of our lives.

5. Make someone smile every day
A gentle word, a sincere smile, a kind look can go a long way. Positive intentions, like sharing a piece of advice to someone who is feeling downcast and causing them to feel even just a bit better can make a huge difference.
6. Let go of grudges and forgive
When we hold grudges against a person who has wronged us, we find it so hard to forgive and let go. We unintentionally harbor hate, thinking that it’s our way of getting back. But hate is a double-edged sword. It takes away your peace of mind and consumes you. So, learn to let go of things you can no longer control and forgive. Remember, forgiveness and letting go will help heal your pain.
7. Find out your life’s purpose
Ever wondered why we are here on this planet? Hmmm…sounds cliche, huh? Discovering our life’s purpose gives our life meaning. Knowing the core reason for our existence gives direction to our day-to-day activities and goals. So take the time to find out what you are here to do, and pursue it.
8. Practice humility
To be humble means to value another person’s opinion and never thinking of yourself as the better one. Humility is about being able to laugh and accept your mistakes. It does not seek boastfulness, and it’s all about being grateful for the things you have, no matter how big or small. Being humble means complaining less and accepting that life doesn’t come in a silver platter.
9. Live in the moment
Be conscious and aware of the present. The NOW is important. When you eat, savor every bite. If you watch TV with your partner, just watch and enjoy the movie. When your son is playing with you, play with him, and stop thinking about your deadlines at work. Cherish each moment of your daily life… as if it were your last.

10. Don’t get stuck in the past
Brooding around and thinking the “could’ve beens” or the “what ifs” of life won’t get you anywhere. As the saying goes, the only constant thing in life is change. Learning to deal and accept the changes in your life makes it simpler and less complicated for you to move on and be happy.
My last thoughts:
Setting positive intentions does wonders in improving the quality of our lives. Everyday, our actions, habits, and mindset all contribute to what we become and how our lives will turn out. Practicing positive intentions will lead us to have a better life– one that is rewarding, joyful, and balanced.
